Kakotrygis Barrel-Aged, Nicoluzo Property
From a tiny vineyard in Ano Korakiana, Nicoluzo’s Kakotrygis is cultivated in a clearing surrounded by wild pear timber, cypresses, and centuries-old olive groves. The overwhelming majority of their small manufacturing is exported. This Kakotrygis suits extra the profile of a crimson, slightly than a white wine—wealthy, full-bodied, and complicated, with notes of honey, flowers, vanilla, and well-integrated oak.

Robola Cuvée Spéciale, Theotoky Property
At this historic property in Giannades, we sampled Corfu’s tackle Robola, the signature grape of neighboring Kefalonia. The Theotoky household, whose lineage contains Georgios Theotokis (four-time Prime Minister of Greece between 1899 and 1909), has been making wine right here for 5 generations. Their Robola, grown within the Livadi Ropa winery, shows a formidable petrol aroma with a gentle, lemony palate.

Kakotrygis, Livadiotis Vineyard
Kakotrygis is licensed as a PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) wine within the better Halikounas area. The Livadiotis household, in a uncommon transfer, uprooted olive timber to plant vineyards, establishing their vineyard right here in 1989 and producing one of many island’s few PGI wines. Excessive in alcohol and acidity, the wine is golden in hue with notes of lemon, honeycomb, fig, vanilla, raisin, and a faint tannic edge. “It’s a crimson wine pretending to be a white,” say the producers.

Kakotrygis-Skopelitiko Rosé, Borovino
Produced within the Stryftelia space of Lefkimmi, simply 500 meters from the ocean, this refreshing rosé is a pleasant mix of Kakotrygis and Skopelitiko. Gentle and vibrant, with crimson fruit and caramel notes, it paired superbly with our noumboulo fumicado, Corfu’s famed smoked pork.

Skopelitiko Rosé, Pontiglio
Pontiglio’s winery in Neochori, Lefkimmi, has been within the household because the mid-Nineteenth century. The fashionable vineyard was established in 2014 and now produces a gentle, mellow rosé from Skopelitiko grapes. Count on delicate aromas of kumquat jam and honeycomb, a medium physique, and a refreshing end.

Grammy Rosé, Grammenos Vineyard
